DAY 01

Arrival in Leh & Acclimatization Day

Arrive at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh (3,500 meters altitude). Feel the crisp mountain air as our tour representative greets you with traditional Ladakhi white scarves (Khatag) and transfers you to your hotel. Rest completely for the first day to acclimatize to the high-altitude atmosphere. In the evening, take a gentle stroll around Leh Market, visit the historic Leh Palace, and watch a golden sunset from the Shanti Stupa. Enjoy dinner at the hotel.

DAY 02

Sham Valley Sightseeing & Sangam Confluence

After breakfast, drive along the Leh-Srinagar highway to explore Sham Valley. First stop at the Hall of Fame, a poignant museum built by the Indian Army commemorating our brave soldiers. Continue to the mystical Magnetic Hill where vehicles appear to roll uphill in neutral gear. Stop at Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, deeply revered by the Sikh and Tibetan communities. Arrive at the breathtaking Sangam Point, the confluence of the muddy Zanskar and turquoise Indus rivers. Return to Leh for dinner.

DAY 03

Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (17,586 ft)

Gear up for an exhilarating mountain drive over Khardung La, historically celebrated as the highest motorable road in the world. Enjoy panoramic photo stops at the pass with the Karakoram range in the background. Descend into the picturesque Nubra Valley (Valley of Flowers). Visit the Diskit Monastery and marvel at the 32-meter giant outdoor statue of Maitreya Buddha overlooking the valley. Proceed to the Hunder white sand dunes and enjoy a unique ride on double-humped Bactrian camels. Overnight at deluxe camp in Nubra.

DAY 04

Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Scenic Shyok River

Wake up to the golden morning rays illuminating the Nubra Valley. After breakfast, drive along the rugged and dramatic course of the Shyok River directly towards the world-famous Pangong Tso (4,250 meters). As you approach, the first glimpse of the immense turquoise lake will leave you spellbound. The lake spans 134 km across India and Tibet, changing shades from blue to emerald to azure throughout the day. Check into your deluxe camp near the lake shores and stargaze under a celestial night sky.

DAY 05

Pangong Lake Sunrise & Return to Leh via Chang La (17,590 ft)

Witness the magical sunrise over the still blue waters of Pangong Lake. After breakfast, begin your return drive to Leh climbing over the formidable Chang La Pass, the third highest motorable pass in the world. En route, visit the magnificent 12-story Thiksey Monastery, resembling the Potala Palace of Lhasa, and the historic Shey Palace. Arrive in Leh by late afternoon and spend your evening shopping for pashmina shawls and apricots in the local market.
